I have known Leo Karis for over a decade. We first met when I was chief of staff to the then Prime Minister, the Hon. John Howard.
He worked with me on a number of matters, including representing my interests in dealing with the media. I have always found him to be entirely trustworthy and reliable. He is honest and direct and an excellent source of advice and counsel. He takes very seriously his obligations to his clients. Leo understands the importance of establishing and maintaining long-term relationships based on mutual trust and understanding.

Arthur Sinodinos AO, Australian Ambassador to the United States

I have known Leo Karis for over 25 years in both business and as a friend. During that time Leo has been my personal manager taking care of all my financial contracts with numerous corporate and sporting organisations and also negotiating with media organisations in a very professional manner. He is a person of the utmost integrity with great core values including loyalty, honesty, trustworthy and hard working. He has a excellent reputation in the sports management business sector and also as a well respected citizen in the community.

Mark Waugh, Former Australian cricketer and Television broadcaster

From the different perspective of one who has sat across the negotiating table from Leo Karis, I have found him to be the consummate professional. While at all times he advocates his client’s position in an energised and lucid manner, he conducts his commercial discussions with an integrity and honesty that surfaces too rarely in the commercial world. While we have always found ourselves at the opposite end of the spectrum, I could not recommend the services of Leo Karis highly enough.

John Tsatsimas, Football NSW CEO and Former CEO Western Sydney Wanderers

Leo’s calm and measured approach stands in stark contrast to the image of the agent “hustling” for business. He has always got results through firm but fair negotiation, and always has the best interests of his clients at heart. His methods mean he is one of the most respected operators in his area of expertise. I have been with Leo for over fifteen years, and he is not only my representative, but I also count him as a friend.

Simon Hill, Television broadcast host and commentator

I have known Leo Karis for two decades, have dealt with him professionally and personally. I have always found him to be hard-working, honest and of impeccable integrity. I am very pleased to provide this reference.

Peter FitzSimons, Author and Media Personality

I’ve known Leo for 25 years. During this time Leo has not only become a close friend, but has been my personal manager negotiating my playing contracts, coaching contracts and media opportunities.
Leo has always conducted himself diligently, with integrity and above all with the utmost honesty.
His manner in establishing relationships with clients and business partners is outstanding. He has a formidable knowledge of the industry both in Australia and abroad, strategically working to ensure his clients are well represented and are always content with the outcome.
Having worked with Leo now for many years one thing that I believe sets him apart from many others in this business is his desire to be innovative, hard working and constantly striving to maintain his great reputation that he has built up throughout his managerial career.

Paul Okon, Former Australian International Soccer Player

I have negotiated with Leo on a number of player contracts while I was Chief Executive of Sydney FC including Socceroos Simon Colosimo, and Mark Bridge.
Leo and I also worked together in recruiting Brazilian FIFA World Cup winner Juninho Paulista to play for Sydney FC during the 2007/08 season. At the time this was the biggest single-year contract in Australian football of any code.
In all my dealings with Leo, I found him to be of the highest integrity, faithfully representing the wishes of his clients, and at the same stage negotiating with honesty, transparency and realism – a rarity with player agents.
Leo’s reputation as one of the premier player agents can be illustrated by the quality of the players he represents. I continue to enjoy an excellent personal relationship with Leo and would have no hesitation in recommending Leo.

George Perry, Former Sydney FC CEO

It has been a professional and personal privilege to know and work with Leo Karis. Leo represents some of the key on-air presenters and commentators working on Fox Sports channels and it is in that capacity that I had the majority of dealings with Leo over that period.
Leo is an honest, reliable and trustworthy person. He is true to his word and can be relied upon to faithfully represent his clients. He is patient and strategic and has never in my experience worked outside these parameters. He has an excellent knowledge of the people he represents and is honest with them and about them in his professional dealings.
I have worked with virtually every Australian sports agency, client-representation organisation and individual over the past 25 years and consider Leo Karis to have standards equal to or better than the best of them. I have no doubt that Leo’s experience in working in overseas markets has given him a great insight in the market value of his clients and about being fair and reasonable in negotiating a successful outcome.
The Australian sports market is very small by international measures and a person’s reputation in that market is generally well known and forged early in their careers. Leo Karis enjoys an excellent reputation both in Australia and overseas and it is one that is well earned from many years of hard work and honest dealing.
